• The curlers weren’t the only Olympians in attendance; during the second intermission, the US Women’s hockey team got an awesome ovation from the crowd. [NHL]
• Well... the team minus Hilary Knight, who had another engagement in New York. She’s forgiven for her absence, though, because it was awesome:

• It took 20 years for Team USA to win their second gold medal, but the hope is that this win spawns a new generation of women hockey players. [WaPo]
• Rockville’s own Haley Skarupa talked about winning gold in Pyeongchang; she also made sure her teammates saw the most important landmark in the DC area before last night’s game: Jeff Halpern’s Astro Doughnuts. [WaPo, Baltimore Sun]
