12 – Number of players in NHL history to have at least ten seasons with 35 goals or more, an elite club which now includes Alex Ovechkin after the Capitals’ captain picked up his League-leading 35th yesterday in Buffalo. He’s also one of just five players to have achieved the feat with a single club, joining Bobby Hull (Blackhawks), Mario Lemieux (Penguins), Luc Robitaille (Kings), Marcel Dionne (Kings), and Mike Bossy (Islanders).
And oh by the way, for those keeping track at home… he’s now just seven goals away from 600 in his career. No biggie.
