The Capitals continued their road swing, entering Chicago to face the Blackhawks at United Center. Washington was unable to complete with Chicago from the start, allowing the Blackhawks to skate to an easy 7 to 1 victory.

Plus: Tom Wilson tallied for the second game in a row and extended his point streak to three (5 points).

Minus: Not only did the Capitals yield three first period goals the last was a backbreaker at the 19:59 mark. Washington was outshot 21 to 6 in the opening twenty minutes.
