Capitals vs. Golden Knights Third Period Thread

Things were going well. Braden Holtby made some incredible saves. Alex Ovechkin absolutely leveled Thomas Nosek. Then Ovechkin scored his 20th goal of the season. 2-1 Capitals.

Then things went not-so-well. Ryan Reaves and Tom Wilson had been exchanging words and shoves all night, but then Reaves hit an unsuspecting Wilson so hard he knocked Wilson’s helmet off. Wilson headed shakily off the ice, and Reaves was handed a five-minute interference major and a game misconduct. Wilson has been ruled out for the rest of the game with what the Capitals announced as an “upper-body” injury.
