Leading the way, of course, is John Carlson, who is currently tied with Mark Giordano and Brent Burns for the third-highest point total among defensemen (35) and who ranks second among blueliners in assists with 30. Carlson is coming off of a career year in which he put up 15 goals and 68 points – and another five goals and 20 points in 24 games en route to the Stanley Cup.
