83 - The Capitals’ special teams index (power play percentage + penalty kill percentage) in December. So far this month the Caps have killed off 16 of 26 penalties (64%) while cashing in on just four of 21 opportunities with the extra man (19%); over that span, the power play was ranked 17th and their penalty kill was dead last in the League.
