Capitals vs. Devils Third Period Thread

Plenty to write home about in that period!

Just seconds into the frame, Tom Wilson scored on a shorthanded sharp-angle slingshot that stuck the Capitals to a 2-0 lead.

But then, with the Devils shorthanded, New Jersey’s Travis Zajac struck against the flow of play to make it just 2-1.

And then some ugliness. With his back turned, Brett Seney’s upper body was run into by.....who else....Tom Wilson. Wilson received a major, a match penalty, and an ejection for the hit.

Ruh-roh.
