Capitals vs. Islanders Third Period Thread

The Caps lead through two periods, can they close it out?

Despite being severely out-chanced, the Capitals recorded the only score of the second period to break a 1-1 tie. Just a little under eight minutes into the stanza, Nic Dowd collected in a drop pass from Dmitrij Jaskin and rocketed a wicked wrister over Thomas Greiss’ glove hand to give the Caps the one-goal lead, 2-1.

This way to the third period, to see if the Caps can end the Mentor’s Trip on a winning note in regulation time...
