67.7 - The percentage of available regular season points that the Washington Capitals earned under former head coach Barry Trotz during the regular season, which is the highest mark of any bench boss in franchise history.

Tonight, when the Caps face Trotz and the Islanders, the Caps are reuniting with an old friend and arguably the most successful coach in team history for one final ring ceremony. Trotz’s 67.7 points percentage ranks first among Capitals coaches, ranking narrowly ahead of Bruce Boudreau (67.2%), and his 205 wins is second-most to Bryan Murray’s 343... and his one Stanley Cup championship is also the most in club history. In his career, Trotz is fifth among all NHL coaches in wins with 774, behind Scotty Bowman (1244), Joel Quenneville (890), Ken Hitchcock (824), and Al Arbour (782). Not bad... but let’s hope he’s stuck on 774, at least for one more night.
