Alex Ovechkin blasted home a long-distance liason from his office on the power play, stretching the Caps’ lead to 3-0.

THEN, Nic Dowd, fighting for a job, did his damnedest, lifting home a gorgeous spin-o-rama backhand from the high slot to make it 4-0 good guys.

And again on the power play, Evgeny Kuznetsov snuck in his second of the night, a sharp-angle softie that made it 5-0 and got Tuukka Rask pulled in favor of Jaroslav Halak.

AND AGAIN on a 5-on-3 power play, Captain America John Carlson cashed in a cruise missile to make it 6-0 Washington after two.
