A look at how the Caps have fared against the West Coast this year

.813 - The Capitals points percentage against the Western Conference since December 1, having put together a 6-1-1 record and outscoring opponents 28-19 in eight interconference games so far. That’s the second-best record for an Eastern Conference team against the West, trailing only the Lightning at 7-1-0,

Five of those eight games have been in the friendly confines of Capital One Arena, with all five going into the record books as wins for the home team, and 22 of their goals compared to 10 against. All five of the Caps’ power-play goals against Western Conference teams have been scored in DC (5-for-14, 35.7%) and they’ve given up just two goals while shorthanded (2-for-12, 83.3%).
