.058 - Alex Ovechkin’s career points-per-minute in Game 3s, second among all players since he entered the League (minimum 250 minutes played). Ovechkin has scored nine goals and added nine assists in 14 Game 3s (and 311 minutes played in those games). Caps Today has more:

Three’s Company – Alex Ovechkin has earned 18 points (9g, 9a) in 14 career Game 3s. Ovechkin has earned more points in Game 3 than any other game of a series. Justin Williams has recorded 15 points (5g, 10a) in 22 career Game 3s, marking the most points he has earned in a game of a series. In addition, Nicklas Backstrom has tallied 14 points (4g, 10a) in 14 career Game 3s.

Last year, Ovechkin had a goal and an assist in the Caps’ 3-2 Game 3 loss at Consol Energy Center.

Oh, and because you’re wondering who’s first on that points-per-minute list... it’s Sidney Crosby, and .059.
