16 - Number of even-strength goals for Alex Ovechkin so far this season, as many as he had in all of 2016-17. They haven’t all been beauties (see, for example, his empty-netter last night below), and his 15.9 individual shooting percentage at fives (per Corsica) is well above his career average while his 18.8 individual shot attempts per sixty at five-a-side is a career low... but he’s currently scoring five-on-five goals at a better clip than he ever has before, so enjoy it while it lasts.
