10 – Number of goals scored by the Capitals through their first two games this season. That’s the second-highest total in the League, behind the 15 goals scored by both Chicago and Toronto, and is tied with the 2009-10 Caps for the most the team has scored through two games during the Alex Ovechkin era.
Of course, a good chunk of that scoring so far has been thanks to Ovechkin himself, who has posted a whopping seven goals in his first two games – the most he’s ever had to open a season, more than doubling his previous high (three goals, in 2009 and 2013).
