A look at some misbehaving Caps

-9 - The Capitals power-play differential so far this season, tied for the third-worst with the Penguins and trailing only Nashville (-13) and Colorado (-15). Through four games they’ve taken 22 penalties and drawn only 13, and have taken more penalties than their opponent in three of the four (drawing even with Montreal with four apiece).

In each of the first four games, the Caps have taken at least four penalties - not ideal even when the penalty kill is clicking, and even less so when it unravels as it did at the end of the Tampa game and throughout the game against the Penguins.

In short, discipline has been an issue... so let’s all just hope that Tom Wilson sticks to his goal of playing a cleaner game as he prepares to return tonight.
