Holtby backstopped the Caps to a 2-1 shootout victory last night for his 41st of the season, his second-straight season with at least 41 wins.
Holtby is the only active goaltender to have back-to-back 41-win seasons, and the first in Caps’ history; the last goalie to accomplish that feat was Nabokov (which he actually did three straight times, from 2007 to 2010).
