- Ilya Samsonov has performed well on emergency duty for Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Number-one netminder Vasily Koshechkin has been unavailable due to either illness or injury (or both), and Koska’s status is unknown for their next series vs. Sibir, which starts on Tuesday.
