  • Prospect update:
  • Four Caps prospects played in the first round of the NCAA D1 Men’s Ice Hockey Championship – two have advanced to the Frozen Four:
    • Defending National Champion Providence fell in overtime to Minny-Duluth in the first round and Brian Pinho‘s sophomore season drew to an end.
    • Michigan beat Notre Dame (also in overtime) and senior Tommy DiPauli‘s college career is complete. The Caps control his rights until August – if he chooses to sign with the team he would report to Hershey.
    • North Dakota played its way past Northeastern and Michigan to take a spot in the Frozen Four. Freshman Shane Gersich is playing limited minutes on the fourth line.
    • Boston College played through Harvard and Minny-Duluth and sophomore Zach Sanford is headed to Tampa with the Eagles.
