During the summer of 2014 the NHL analytics community had a bit of a field day looking at zone entry stats. The man behind all of that data was this week’s guest, Corey Sznajder. Corey tracked every game of the 2013-2014 NHL season for his “All Three Zones” project prior to working for an NHL team for the last two seasons.

Corey is now working on a new project which will track zone entries and exits in addition to tracking passing plays in a similar way to what we’ve seen in Ryan Stimson’s work.

You can find all of Corey’s newest releases on his website, including this popular piece he wrote this summer about the Caps/Penguins series.
