…the number of fighting majors taken by the Caps last year, the seventh-highest total in the League. Leading the way for the Caps was, unsurprisingly, Tom Wilson, whose 12 majors were tied for the sixth-most in the League (and his 172 penalty minutes ranking fourth).
Those fights also helped the Caps rack up the seventh-highest PIM total overall, with 857 penalty minutes over the course of the season – an average of 10:27 a game.
