58 – Number of days remaining until the Caps open the 2015-16 season. But it’s also…

…the number of penalty minutes accumulated by Neil Sheehy in the Caps’ second-round playoff series against (who else?) the New York Rangers, the most PIMs for a player in a single series in franchise history. To put that into perspective, the Caps’ leader in penalty minutes over their 14-game run this past spring was Tom Wilson… with 25.

Sheehy topped double-digits in penalty minutes in four of the five games against the Blueshirts, and six times totalduring a run that eventually ended with a Conference Final sweep at the hands of the Boston Bruins.
