Both Braden Holtby and Henrik Lundqvist brought their A games to Madison Square Garden tonight, but ultimately it would be an overtime winner from Ryan McDonaugh that brings this series to 3 to 2 Washington.

Both Braden Holtby and Henrik Lundqvist have been stellar through sixty minutes of Game 5 and the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers will prepare for overtime thanks to third period goals from Curtis Glencross and Chris Kreider.

Third Period Thread
Unfortunate decision by the referees on Joel Ward's "almost" goal with three minutes to play in the second period and the game remains tied at zero through forty minutes. Braden Holtby has 28 saves and Henrik Lundqvist has made 18 of his own.

Second Period Thread
The Rangers jumped out quickly in the first, but Braden Holtby held New York off the scoresheet. The great start from Holtby allowed ther Capitals to get back in the game, with the first twenty minutes ending with the Rangers outshooting Washington.
