The Washington Capitals will open the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the New York Rangers at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night in New York at Madison Square Garden.
The Caps will play Games 1 and 2 on the road (including a matinee on Saturday May 2), then head home to Verizon Center for Games 3 and 4, which will be Monday, May 4 and Wednesday, May 6. If necessary, Game 5 will be played May 8 in New York, Game 6 on May 10 in D.C. and Game 7 on May 12 or 13 (depending on who wins Game 7 of the Detroit/Tampa Bay first round series) in New York.
