Tonight's 8-Bit Capital Lines: New-Look Bottom-Six

New, comments

Per Mike Vogel, the streak-snapping loss in Winnipeg coupled with a lack of secondary scoring has led Barry Trotz to shake up his bottom six forwards, with Brooks Laich and Tom Wilson moving up to the third line to flank Eric Fehr. They'll also get Tim Gleason back after two games missed due to injury. So with that in mind, here's a look at tonight's lines and defensive pairings... with Braden Holtby between the pipes, as always:

8-19-90

Alex Ovechkin - Nicklas Backstrom - Marcus Johansson

22-92-20

Curtis Glencross - Evgeny Kuznetsov - Troy Brouwer

21-16-43

Brooks LaichEric FehrTom Wilson

25-46-42

Jason Chimera - Michael Latta - Joel Ward

44-74

Brooks Orpik - John Carlson

27-2

Karl Alzner - Matt Niskanen

6-52

Tim Gleason - Mike Green

70
Braden Holtby

That would leave Justin Peters backing up Holtby, Jay Beagle sitting out at least three more games, and Dmitry Orlov and John Erskine still on the IR.
