Tonight's 8-Bit Capitals Lines: Missed U, Mike Green

New, comments

Per Mike Vogel, the Caps will get at least one of the walking wounded back in the lineup, but lose another one, as Mike Green returns and Jay Beagle sits. In Beagle's spot is a familiar face in recently-recalled Andre Burakovsky, who steps in for fourth-line duty. With that in mind, here are tonight's likely lines and defensive pairings, with Braden Holtby back between the pipes:

8-19-90

Alex Ovechkin - Nicklas Backstrom - Marcus Johansson

22-92-20

Curtis Glencross - Evgeny Kuznetsov - Troy Brouwer

25-16-42

Jason Chimera - Eric Fehr - Joel Ward

65-21-43

Andre Burakovsky - Brooks Laich - Tom Wilson

88-74

Nate Schmidt - John Carlson

27-2

Karl Alzner - Matt Niskanen

6-52

Tim Gleason - Mike Green

70
Braden Holtby

That would leave Justin Peters backing up Holtby, Orpik and Latta still a few days away with assorted ailments (and joined by Beagle, who will sit out with an upper-body injury), and Dmitry Orlov and John Erskine still on the IR.
