Today's 8-Bit Lines: Red-Hot Second Line Stays Intact

New, comments

Per Alex Prewitt, the Caps will stick with the second line that produced all the offense on Friday night, leaving Jason Chimera on the second line to face the Flyers. And after being a last-minute scratch for the Ducks game, expect to see Mike Green back in the lineup (although he is once again a game-time decision). With that in mind, here's a look at what today's lines and defensive pairings could look like, with Braden Holtby back between the pipes:

8-19-90

Alex Ovechkin - Nicklas Backstrom - Marcus Johansson

25-92-20

Jason Chimera - Evgeny Kuznetsov - Troy Brouwer

21-16-42

Brooks Laich - Eric Fehr - Joel Ward

83-46-43

Jay Beagle - Michael LattaTom Wilson

44-74

Brooks Orpik - John Carlson

27-2

Karl Alzner - Matt Niskanen

38-52

Jack Hillen - Mike Green

That leaves Justin Peters back on the bench behind Holtby, and Aaron Volpatti and Cameron Schilling sitting out as today's healthy scratches, with Dmitry Orlov and John Erskine are still on the IR.
