Capitals vs. Flyers Third Period Thread

Washington bounced back to tie the game in the second period in no small part because of Jason Chimera's dropping of Zac Rinaldo. Before the fireworks began Wayne Simmonds and Tom Wilson traded goals but afterward the major penalties Joel Ward tied the game for the Capitals with a chop shot from Rob Zepp's right side. The puck ramped up over the goaltender's shoulder and the game was tied at two. After forty minutes the Flyers are still outshooting Washington, but now by five.
