A look at the Caps' top-four defensemen... for every game this season

4 - Number of Capitals defensemen - Karl Alzner, John Carlson, Matt Niskanen and Brooks Orpik - who have played every game this season. Not only is Washington the only team in the League to have four blueliners who have suited up for every outing, but the Caps' quartet has started each game as the team's top-four rearguards (Carlson with Orpik and Alzner with Niskanen).

And for Carlson and Alzner, the streak extends back much further, as Carlson has played in the Caps' last 351 regular season games, and Alzner is right behind him at 349 straight.

(H/t to @AdamVingan, who on Tuesday noted that the Caps and Predators were the only teams in the League with four defensemen who hadn't missed a game, but Mattias Ekholm has missed Nashville's last two games, leaving the Caps all alone here.)
