A look at a rare occurrence in Saturday night's game

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

0.8 - Number of seconds remaining in regulation when Nicklas Backstrom scored the game-tying goal Saturday night. Per Elias, Backstrom is the first player to score at the 19:59 mark in a regular-season game since March 15, 2014, when Montreal's David Desharnais did it against the Senators.

Backstrom is the first Caps' player to accomplish the feat since Alex Ovechkin on November 15, 2008 against New Jersey.
