3 – Number of games in which the Caps have been outshot by opponents this season, fewest in the League, with the next closest being Carolina at five. Of those three games, two of them have been wins (against Chicago and Columbus), and two of the three games were in the season’s first week (San Jose and Chicago).

The Caps currently average 25.2 shots-against per game, second-lowest in the League, and are tied with Carolina for the lowest shots against per 60 minutes at five on five – all while peppering opponents’ goalies at a rate of 31.1 shots per game (the fifth-highest per game total on the circuit).
