Capitals vs. Bruins Third Period Thread

New, comments

Alex Ovechkin's 800th career NHL point was the highlight of the second period, a series of smart passes from Joel Ward and Marcus Johansson making the milestone possible early in the frame. Ward's 18th of the year gave the Capitals a three goal lead but Boston's Patrice Bergeron would cut the lead to two on a power play tally 41 seconds after Washington's last. Gregory Campbell's fourth on the season with less than three minutes remaining put Boston within one with one period to play.
