It's a little known fact...

  • Through 20 games, Braden Holtby has allowed five power play goals. Justin Peters has allowed five power play goals. Holtby allowed his on 58 shots, a .914 save percentage, tied for fourth among 31 goalies playing in at least ten games through Sunday. Peters allowed his on 19 shots (.737 save percentage).
  • Through those same 20 games, Holtby's save percentage at even strength is .912, 26th among goalies appearing in ten or more games through Sunday.
  • Brooks Orpik has almost as many hits (75) as the next three Capitals combined (80).
  • After 20 games last season the Caps were 11-8-1, they scored 60 goals and allowed 57 (not including shootout goals), a plus-3 differential. After 20 games this season the Caps are 9-8-3, they scored 55 goals and allowed 52, a plus-3 differential.
