43.9 - Shots allowed per sixty minutes of four-on-five hockey by the Capitalsfourth-lowest in the League. (they rank 12th and 19th, respectively in Fenwick- and Corsi-Against rates, meaning they're blocking a bunch of shots and a bunch more are missing the net). The 43.9 shots allowed per sixty is down more than 25 percent from last season's mark of 59.0, which ranked 29th in the League.

The Caps will carry a 14-for-14 penalty killing streak into tonight's game at Colorado.
