.600 – Capitals‘ point-percentage in back-to-back games since Adam Oates took over behind the bench at the start of last season. Interestingly enough, the Caps have that same points percentage in both the front- and back-ends of the sets, going 8-5-2 in the former and 7-4-4 in the latter. So far this season, the Caps are 4-1-2 in the first of back-to-backs and 3-2-2 in the second, and have swept three of the pairings.
Washington will play it’s eighth of 17 back-to-backs Thursday and Friday in Tampa and home against Toronto, respectively.
