Per Adam Vingan, Marcus Johansson will be a game-time decision after suffering a lower-body injury last night. If he can’t go, expect these lines and defensive pairings at the outset of tonight’s game, perhaps, with Philipp Grubauer quite possibly getting a second-consecutive Braden Holtby getting the start in net:
Eric Fehr – Nicklas Backstrom – Alex Ovechkin
Martin Erat – Mikhail Grabovski – Troy Brouwer
Jason Chimera – Jay Beagle – Joel Ward
Aaron Volpatti – Casey Wellman – Tom Wilson
That would leave Alexander Urbom and Michal Neuvirth as healthy scratches, Johansson, Brooks Laich, Michael Latta and Jack Hillen out with injury, and Grubauer serving as the evening’s backup goaltender.
