Capitals vs. Hurricanes Second Period Thread

The Hurricanes outchanced and outplayed the Capitals through the first twenty minutes, culminating in Jordan Staal's eighth of the year on a quick snapshot from twenty five feet (Alexander Semin with the primary assist). An otherwise perfect Philipp Grubauer made sure the deficit would only be one, making 12 strong saves in the first. An Eric Staal penalty, two for High Sticking, will have the Capitals on the man advantage for 100 seconds to begin the second frame.
