- Finally, a milestone. Fifteen years ago today, Mike Knuble was called up from the Adirondack Red Wings to join the big club at Joe Louis Arena for a late-season game against the Avalanche. The scoresheet shows a modest two shots on goal and no points for the rookie. But his first-ever NHL game was one for the history books nevertheless. Who knew that would be the first game of over a thousand? Happy anniversary, Knubs!
