Reports: Brooks Laich Injured, Returning to U.S. for Treatment

Multiple reports from Switzerland (and elsewhere) indicate that Capitals forward Brooks Laich has sustained a (groin/hamstring/adductor) injury and has left the Kloten Flyers to return to North America for treatment.

In 15 games played, Laich has six goals, eight assists, and a plus-8 rating. He suited up for Friday’s 8-0 win over the SCL Tigers, but left the game with an injury, according to the Swiss National A league website.

He was expected to play on Saturday in the second game of the back-to-back, but was not on the roster.

Subsequent reports from multiple sites indicate that he has an injury to the leg/groin/abdomen and is returning Stateside for treatment.
