"Caps on Holiday" continues in the Czech Republic, where goaltender Michal Neuvirth backstopped Team Jagr to a 7-5 victory over the host SHK Hodonín. Surely it's time to retire the Hershey gear, Neuvi!
In the latest edition of "Caps on Holiday," we find a thoughtful Sasha Semin relaxing back home in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. He loves the water and spent a fair amount of time on the Krasnoyarsk Sea and Lake Bela. See you soon, Sasha!
Félicitations and congrats to a radiant Mathieu Perreault and best buddy Francois Bouchard as they hoist the A Bout de Souffle Trophy.
The latest installment of "Caps on Holiday" features goaltender Michal Neuvirth. In late June he was back in his hometown of Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic, visiting his old elementary school ZŠ Vinařská (Wine School). He handed out prizes to the top athletes, dished a bit about his time off (so far just hanging with family and friends, but was planning an "exotic vacation" with his girlfriend), and will be training afterwards with HC Slovan Ústí Lions at "the Mouth." (Sticktap for this entry belongs to GlobalCapsFans. Děkuji!)
In which Alex Ovechkin proves you can go home again. He's working at his new job in Moscow today, suiting up for Dynamo, and hosting a Master Class for tomorrow's NHL and KHL future stars. The "10" on his jersey is the year, and he's rocking his Caps gloves and Team Russia lid.
In the now apparently continuing series called "Caps on Holiday," we bring you a sun-swept Nicklas Backstrom, his friend Jon Olsson and bevies of blondes in the medieval resort town of Visby, on the island of Gotland. Rock on, Lars!
Varly on holiday in Hershey?
The Captain was rocking a fresh new white Caps lid at a Moscow Dynamo soccer game. His good friend Denis Volodin scored the game winner but forgot to do the Ovie-style celebration he had promised.
