I was excited when Adam Oates was introduced as the Caps coach just over two years ago - and I wasn't alone.
Not going to rehash the train derailment that was his tenure here, but I was thinking the other day about when I started to feel like it wasn't going to work.
Not necessarily the same time when I started saying out loud that it wasn't working, but when I had that first bad feeling in my stomach. Like the date I had many years ago that was going great until I walked into her apartment and there's was a shrine to Barry Manilow in her living room (true story).
For me, it was right before last season, when the Caps decided to keep Tom Wilson up and trade Mathieu Perrault for someone of such little value that they dumped him.
How about you?
