Mike Green opened the scoring with a rocket of a slapper over Cory Schnieder’s right shoulder, and then Nicklas Backstrom added another on a nice look from Jay Beagle. Braden Holtby made a few sparkling saves to ensure that lead remained in tact heading to the third.
