Tonight’s 8-Bit Lines: The Return of Brooks Laich?

Without the benefit of a morning skate, it’s hard to know exactly what the Caps’ lineup will look like tonight as they host the Islanders in the back-end of a home-and-home series, but there are rumblings that Brooks Laich could return to the lineup, so there’s that. We’ll know more as puck-drop approaches, but for now, here’s what the Caps looked like to start Wednesday night’s game:

That leaves Justin Peters backing up Holtby, Laich’s status up in the air, Michael Latta out as a healthy scratch, Mike Green out “day to day,” and Dmitry Orlov, Aaron Volpatti and John Erskine out with long-term injuries. Got it?
