- 2013 second round draft pick Zach Sanford got the first start of his university career when Boston College opened its season at UMass-Lowell on Saturday, but he was absent for the third period due to “dizziness.” [SB Nation College Hockey]
- 2013 seventh round draft pick defenseman Tyler Lewington was named captain of the WHL Medicine Hat Tigers. In 7GP he is 1-5-6, plus-10, and in 8 games the Tigers have allowed a mere 12 goals. [MH News]
