At the end of the first round, the Caps go for a lanky forward.

With the 61st pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft (acquired from Winnipeg in exchange for the 84th, 114th and 127th picks), the Caps have selected Zachary Sanford, a "forward with size, speed and skill. Still a guy whose raw and could use his frame better."

More on Sanford here, here and here.

With the 144th pick, the team took Blake Heinrich, a defenseman out of the USHL. Read up on him here.

With the 174th pick, the Caps took high school center Brian Pinho, who you can read up on here, here and here.

And with the 204th pick, they drafted defenseman Tyler Lewington out of the WHL.
