The Noon Number: .3

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Today's Number notes that Alex Ovechkin isn't the only Cap having a bounce-back year in the goal-scoring department

The Noon Number: .3 - Mike Green's goals-per-game rate so far this season, second in the League among blueliners with at least 15 games played (P.K. Subban). Green's seven goals ties him for third in the NHL among rearguards overall, and he tops all defenders in five-on-five goals per 60 minutes (Brent Burns doesn't count - he's played a lot of wing this year) while leading the League in even-strength markers from the back-end.
