Per Katie Carrera, Aaron Volpatti (wearing #24) will indeed make his Capitals debut this afternoon in Winnipeg as Wojtek Wolski gets healthy-scratched. With Matt Hendricks skating with the top line in practice yesterday and Mike Green not making the trip, expect the lines and defensive pairings in front of Braden Holtby (making a ninth-straight start) to look something like this:
Matt Hendricks -- Mike Ribeiro - Alex Ovechkin
Eric Fehr - Nicklas Backstrom - Troy Brouwer
Jason Chimera - Mathieu Perreault - Joel Ward
Aaron Volpatti - Jay Beagle - Joey Crabb
That leaves Wolski and Roman Hamrlik as healthy scratches, and Green, Brooks Laich, Jack Hillen and Marcus Johansson out with injuries.
