A look at the good fortunes teams have when John Erskine scores a goal for them...
Today's Noon Number: 12 - Number of regular-season goals John Erskine has scored in his NHL career, each of which has come in a win for his team. Including yesterday's victory (in which Erskine scored the Caps' second goal), the Caps are now a perfect 9-0-0 when the rugged blueliner lights the lamp.
(Note: Erskine scored in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against Tampa Bay back in 2011, a game which the Caps lost... but you tell that to the mug in the picture above.)
