The on-ice workouts, which will include multiple scrimmages, are open to the public and media. The off-ice workouts are closed.

About the Roster: Signed Players and Caps Draft Picks
- Of the 10 2012 draft picks, 8 are on the preliminary camp roster
- All 4 2011 draft picks are on the roster
- Of the 22 prospects on the roster: 3 are signed to NHL ELCs (contracts) with the Caps
- Some draft picks not on the camp roster, not under Caps contract but rights are still held: Wuthrich, Kostenko, Kuznetsov

Note about Walker and whether the Caps can sign him this summer and some other notes: He’s a ‘94 and he falls under the same rules Hyka did last summer with Philadelphia, due to his age (not 22yo as of the recent entry draft) and playing last season overseas. My understanding is that the Caps can't sign him this summer; he’ll be back in the draft next summer. Note, this does not apply to Andreas Martinsen as he was 22yo at the time of the draft. NA based prospects who were eligible to be drafted but went undrafted are eligible to be signed to an NHL contract this summer. See the Caps signing goalie prospect Brandon Anderson a few years ago, as an example.
