Your savory breakfast links:

● FanFest! [Schedule, Caps B-Ball]

● In the big news of the day, the Caps signed their 2012 first round draft pick Filip Forsberg to an Entry Level Contract worth a reported $2.5mil. [Capitals, Dump 'n Chase, WaPo, WashTimes (and again), CSNW (and again), SB Nation DC, PHT, NBC4, RtR, Puckhead, DC Pro Sports Report, DSP]

○ Forsberg plans to remain in Sweden for the 2012-2013 season and will play for his Allsvenskan team, Leksand. In an interview published right after the draft, Leksand head coach Andreas Appelgren said that the clubs will remain in contact during the year - and that his team would extend a helping hand: "Of course we will help with development. If Washington wants us to work out something special with him, we will do it. We have time and resources for that." [ (link in Swedish)]

● Notes and assorted whatnot from yesterday out at Kettler, where it was Day Five of Development Camp:

○ ... and seeing the ice well. [Caps B-Ball]

○ Rules? Where we're going, we don't need ... rules. [Caps Outsider]

○ Confidence and speed are key for T.J. Syner. But mostly speed. [Caps B-Ball, Caps Outsider]

○ Norway-based goaltending prospect Steffen Soberg will remain based in Norway for the time being. [WaPo]

○ Speaking of goaltenders, here's yer scouting report. [RtR]

● So long, and thanks for all the Calder Cups. Joel Rechlicz, Sean Collins, and Christian Hanson bid Hershey a fond farewell. [Patriot-News]

● In which Matt Hendricks cowboys it up with Jeff Schultz and ... Eric Fehr? There seem to be quite a few Caps, current and former, converging in Calgary this weekend. All the best to Sarge and his soon-to-be missus. [Capitals Overtime]
