Braden Holtby's Family Gets More Interesting By The Minute

With a 1.95 goals against average, .935 save percentage and his team headed into a winner-take-all Game 7 against the Eastern Conference's top seed on the heels of dethroning the reigning Stanley Cup champs in the first round, Braden Holtby is the breakout star of the 2012 NHL playoffs.

Well, on the ice at least.

Off the ice, Holtby's mother Tami has become a bit of a celeb in her own right, a fixture of Caps telecasts for outwardly displaying many of the emotions all Caps fans are feeling at any given moment. For example...

And while we all now know her as "Tami Holtby, hockey mom," there are those who probably know her better as "Tami Holtby, music mogul." From this undated biography from their hometown of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan:

As an artist, Tami has released and written two albums with singles doing very well across Canada, one video and several TV specials. She was Saskatchewan's Female Vocalist for 1996 and also accumulated many nominations in different categories.

And here's the cover of one of those two albums:

Awesome.

So as her son's unlikely rise to prominence continues this spring, hopefully we'll get to see more of Mrs. Holtby, who is clearly a natural born performer.

Oh, and by the way... that's where the "Hunter" comes from. Come on, people.
